The following local {PP} treasure, Royal Highnies, has been right under my nose - literally across the street. I had the opportunity to formally meet a "new neighbor" a few weeks back at a party hosted by {ASA}, and was fascinated how Leigh Anne Yates {my neighbor} and Alison Moore, managed to start a clothing line with five children between the two of them - all BOYS!
The Yates family has been in the textile business for years {Yates Bleachery}. A few years ago, the girls ran across a large bolt of fabric that had been rejected by a company that had placed the initial order because it was too soft. They fell in love with how soft and luxurious the fabric was and decided to make "lemonade" out of their newfound "lemon." After brainstorming, they approached another manufacturer and decided to create something "simple" and usable out of the fabric. The decision: Men's Boxer Shorts.
With boxes of Boxers in hand, and no real plan determined, {AM, & LY} started giving them away to friends and family. After many positive comments and requests for more!!!! The duo decided to use their connections in the retail market and placed their "tried and true" product in Harley's, a well established store in Tyler, Texas {home to one half of this dynamic duo}. The response was thru the roof and the girls scrambled to find a name for their amazing and silky boxers. As they lounged by their pool, drinking Heinekin Beer, the name Royal Highnes was born. The line has since continued to grow with the introduction of the adorable Tiny Highnies {boy's boxers}, a natural fit for the army of boy's in their lives. The line also features PJ's and robes, and they will continue to add items as they see needed.
Royal Highnies can not only be found in the original location in Tyler, Texas, but in 175 store in the United States. If you are looking for something special and want to tell a great story behind the gift you are giving, we encourage you to try this unique and useful gift! We promise you won't be disappointed!
So when life hands you "lemons" don't think of how sour they might be, think of making those same lemons into lemonade!!! You just never know when it might be a tasty treat for you down the road. As always look for the Inspiration around you!!!
