{Local Find of the week: Dreaming of Southern Lit}

"An alphabet of the lauguage of lovers, a beautiful fable of of art and morality: elegant, wise and humane. I like to think of the happiness this book will bring. I'm sure it will be given as a gift between lovers, and will inspire many journeys-geographical and emotional."

Chris Cleave, author of "Incendiary"

Just out and about today...I ran into our favorite local independent bookseller, Rock Point Books, downtown Chattanooga.  Another {PP} addiction is reading, but isn't every mom's challenge to find the time to sit and read??  One {PP} finds time late at night, but she doesn't have a 4-month old and is rarely awoken in the middle of the night.  But it's a sacrifice she's willing to make!

We rarely leave empty-handed (from almost every store we visit).  With a few children's books for the boys and a few treats for myself:  "The End of the Alphabet,"  by C.S. Richardson, "The Captains Verses", a selection of poems by Pablo Neruda, and "The Shack" by William Young.

The {PP} wants to remind those literary lovers, especially of southen writers of the amazing Conference On Southern Literature here in Chattanooga, Tennessee!!! Contact Rock Point Books for more information on the upcoming event, scheduled for April 2-4.

We hope to see you there!
