{Picky Pick } of the Week: The Blue Plate

The {PP} can't seem to get enough of The Blue Plate. The Southeastern Social was such a beautiful event, and the feedback has been nothing but positive. Blue Plate's Rob Gentry created a menu especially for the event and the rave reviews are still coming in to us. Thank you again Rob, Joseph and all the staff.
After the SSS event the first place we thought of going to re-group, was none other than The Blue Plate. Over strong coffee and a great breakfast {served all day} we set to work. Free Wifi make it an ideal location to have a working meeting, neither of us skiped a beat as we laid out our plans for the next great event. The Blue Plate serves great southern comfort food and is a big supporter of many of the local food producers in our area. The food is always fresh and the service is friendly and eager to help with suggestions.
Dinner is a great experience as well, one of my personal favorites would have to be the fried green tomatoes, offered on the summer specials menu for a limited time. The Blue Plate has something to please everyone, from the fresh fish tacos, the beef tip salad and amazing seasonal vegetables.
If you haven't been to Blue Plate you are missing out, the location downtown is the best in town. A short walk to other downtown attractions, including the river front, make Blue Plate hard to beat.
