{Local Pick of the Week: Alleia}

The Picky Pair are anxiously awaiting dinner tomorrow night at the newest restaurant in town, ALLEIA (25 East Main Street) located in the heart of the developing Southside area, by local Daniel Lindley, of St. John Restaurant and The Meeting Place on Market Street.

With the focus on fresh and local ingredients (a staple of the other restaurants) and an Italian inspired menu, traditional and non-traditional dishes from all regions of Italy will be featured. The local produce will give essence to the foods and the menu will reflect the changes of the season.

The atmosphere has a young and fresh energy, mirroring something special that reminds me a little of Jackson Hole, Wyoming (one {PP}'s last home}. For anyone familiar with my old stompin' grounds, it's a touch of The Old Yellowstone Garage (regrettably closed now)  and Snake River Grill.  Maybe it's the salvaged barn wood door and stained concrete floors that bring back that western vibe,  but it's a really fabulous mix of the unusual and the classic that's so unique to Chattanooga.  The {PP} is jumping with joy to the new city vibe!! Anyone up for cocktails with the girls tomorrow night?

We are thrilled that Chattanooga is expanding our dining options. Lindley's return to his roots says a lot about our growing city.  The younger generation's vision and enthusiam will undoubteldly foster Alleia's success as we anticipate more diverse and creative efforts on Main Street.

See you there!
