{first day of fall}

Happy first day of Fall everyone! I've decided to pull two different color boards for fall's inspiration. I just left yoga this morning, with thoughts from my instructor still in my mind...It's time for making the transition from whatever kind of summer we may have had into a new, fresh season of change. For all our {Picky Pair} readers out there, let's all choose to keep up our summer's momentum, or approach this season with a shift in a more positive and inspired direction.

Are you in as much disbelief as we are that it's the last day of August? This inspiration board, filled summer's sweet bounty, almost makes me wish for more long days of summer. As labor day approaches and my family anticipates the last sweet, peaceful weekend at our little lake house in the Tennessee/North Carolina mountain {no television, cell phone reception...heaven!}, I hope that you are also able to sit back or take a swing in a hammock today, this week, or over this long weekend.

Over the past few days, I am learning that being still means to trust. But be still!? And let life happen without doing something, anything? I urge you to find the peace I found this weekend, knowing that the act of not doing can sometimes be far more powerful that doing anything.

For our fall-inspired brides, or anyone who's ready for the romance and glamour of fall a much a I am, I had to share this color board collaboration with you! We love the subtle accent of lights strung and draped above the reception site, and those chocolate colored cosmos are to die for!

{Wednesday Fog}

It's one of those mornings where the aftermath of the rain storm last night brough calm and a light fog over the mountain, and I'm sitting in my living room with the windows open, and wishing for fall. I thought this lovely storyboard would help get us all in the mood for cooler weather {my picky pick -- not my picky partner's} and the colors of fall.

{Seeing Blue}

I am so in love with these color combinations, courtesy of the lovely Snippet and Ink.

Although my other Picky one is a talented interior designor and gets to create and work with all sorts of wonderful color palettes, I am anticipating a small remodel of my own little cottage and can't help but be on the hunt for new color inspirations.

I think it's a sign that my home must be changed to these colors!
